Preston “Pug” Moore
Preston “Pug” Moore was a lifelong resident of Rocky Mount. After graduating from the local high school, he went to work in his father’s business Moore’s Antique Shop. Moore became a master craftsman of 18th century furniture. His fine works are in numerous historic sites in North Carolina including Tryon Palace, Historic Halifax, the Governor’s Mansion in Raleigh and Hope Plantation in New Bern. Moore died in 2003.
