Twin County Hall of Fame 16th Annual Induction Banquet Announced

Twin County Community Pride, Inc. is pleased to announce the 16th annual Class of Inductees to the Twin County Hall of Fame.  This year’s class of ten includes: a Playwright- Dramatist- Wood Artisan, an early advocate for solar energy and downtown renewal, a science educator, three business leaders, a poet, a Scout leader, two dedicated public servants and an award-winning ACC and Pro football great.

The 2019 class includes:
Marilynn Anselmi, Lynell Bynum, Jessie Mae Jones, Rachel M. Joyner, Julius Peppers, Paul Peel, Parker Philips lll, Robert Ricks, Peter F. Varney, and Vernon F. Sechriest. 

This year’s inductees come from both Edgecombe and Nash Counties.  Seven of the Inductees are men and three are women.  Seven of the inductees are living and three will be inducted posthumously

On Thursday evening, November 7, 2019, the Twin County Hall of Fame will hold it’s16th Annual Induction Banquet at the Rocky Mount Event Center bringing our total number of Hall of Fame Inductees to 138 We encourage you to join us as we preserve Rocky Mount’s history by honoring those who have made significant contributions to the Twin Counties as well as the world.

If you have not taken time to view the portraits hanging in the Rocky Mount Event Center or if you have never attended one of our banquets, you will be amazed at the talent associated with the Twin Counties and the contributions to society that these people have made.  Please join us on November 7th as we continue to honor those who have helped put the Twin Counties on the map.
