Walter Plemmer, JR.

Walter Plemmer, Jr. spent his entire life in Edgecombe County teaching and entertaining with his gift of music. He graduated from Patillo School and then earned a BA in music from Knoxville College and an MA from NC Central. He returned home to teach at Conetoe and later North Edgecombe High Schools where he taught music, English and was a Band, Choral, Drama and Cultural Arts Director. He served as musician for over 60 years at various churches in the area and as Mayor of Princeville from 1993-1997. He died in 2000.
